FROM OUR DIRECTOR As the Executive Director of Briggs Lawrence County Public Library, I’m pleased to usher in a renewed community investment at BLCPL, to maintain the traditions that make BLCPL a community leader; and to guide the library to new heights. Those goals include new items, new faces, and new spaces. Things are changing for the better at Briggs Lawrence County Public Library. The renovation to the Children’s Area at Ironton is complete and there are new items to check out and new activities in that space including Magna Titles and Snap Circuits to learn more about physics, electricity and electronics. Proctorville is investing in community beautification by planting pollinator-friendly plants in our landscaping and adding two art project benches to the exterior of the location soon. Stop by! Chesapeake has new employees and a new business center area for all your copying, faxing, printing, and mailing needs. Stop in and say hello. We hope the new space gets your stamp of approval! South Point is releasing its Library of Things collection to the public soon. Want to try out a hammock, we hope you swing by and check one out! During Summer Reading our Symmes Valley location got a lot of new visitors, and we encourage you to check out one of the board games available at that location for some family-friendly competition. Roll the dice and try something new at BLCPL!
